104.1 CHYFM is now more community involved with increased outside broadcasts, delivery and collaboration of events with locally-based charities and community groups and improved business connections.

104.1 CHYFM's playlist offers an alternative to other stations in the area. 104.1 CHY FM's ever-growing and expanding playlist covers various music genres, including rock, pop, punk, metal, hip-hop, funk, soul, electronica, jazz, root and blues and beyond. Our playlist also contains local and First Nations artists who don't get played on other stations.

104.1 CHYFM has the same broadcast playout system and station equipment as many regional and metropolitan commercial radio stations.  Our training and mentoring has been developed by industry professionals and is delivered specifically targeted to our target age group.
